We offer a range of course options that are based on an evidence based, secular mindfulness approach developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. These include the following:  

Taster Sessions

We offer taster sessions prior to courses commencing giving an opportunity to experience the approach and meet the trainer. Taster sessions usually take place for 1.5 – 3 hours in length.

8 Week Courses for Individuals and Organisations

We offer 8 week courses for the general public and organisations. These courses are known as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for Stress. (See MBSR / MBCT for further information)

Workplace Mindfulness Courses

We create bespoke courses to suit the specific requirements and needs of individual groups and organisations. These include; private, public, voluntary and community organisations.

Mindfulness is now being used in a number of organisations to reduce stress levels, improve resilience and performance amongst their employees. Organisations using mindfulness include; local authorities, health and social care organisations, schools and colleges and voluntary organisations. Global companies such as Google, KPMG and Ebay have also introduced mindfulness into their companies.

The benefits of regularly practising mindfulness have been associated with:

  • brain changes that reflect improvements in attention and emotion regulation skills

  • the reduction of reactivity to external stimuli and as a result more appropriate and measured decisions are made

  • increased empathy and self-regulation leading to improvements in inter-personal relationships

  • increased inner resources to deal with stressful and challenging situations

Courses will be designed based on the MBSR and MBCT models of mindfulness. To develop a course that is suitable for your organisation we will initially spend some time with you to establish the current issues being faced by your employees and organisation. We will then develop and shape a course to meet the specific needs outlined and this will be discussed and agreed with your organisation before proceeding.

Individual Mindfulness Coaching Sessions

For a number of reasons it is not always suitable for some individuals to attend an 8 week group course. This may be due to time availability, timings of scheduled courses or a general preference towards one to one sessions.

We offer one to one courses for those who would prefer to learn mindfulness on an individual basis. We will offer a course programme that is designed to meet the specific needs of the individual.

Individual coaching sessions begin with a consultation session during which the individual is given some information about mindfulness and its benefits. The individual then explains what they would like to achieve from the course and a programme is developed accordingly. The timings and frequency of the course sessions are agreed between the individual and trainer.

I found Parveen to be a very competent and compassionate course leader. She put everyone at ease and responded to people’s comments very skilfully.
